Wedding Worthy Looks from New York Fashion Week

Spring 2015 NY Fashion Week Bridal Inspiration

It’s Fashion Week here in New York City for Spring 2015 and as many flock to the city to see all the new trends for ready-to-wear, we have spotted some gorgeous wedding-worthy looks.

While selecting your wedding dress, let the runway be your inspiration to help you find your perfect bridal look.

Here are some of the stunning looks that we saw grace the runway thus far during Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week.

The Beach Bride

We love this look by BCBG Max Azria, the dress is the perfect silhouette for a romantic beach wedding. The sheerness of the fabric, its movement and the detailed applique make this dress beach wedding-worth. Go barefoot as you walk down a sandy beach to your groom. Wear your hair in soft waves and add some sparkling chandelier earrings to complete this ethereal look.

Brides in Color

The artful details of this dress by Naeem Khan reminds us of Angelina Jolie’s wedding gown. If you are more of the unconventional bride, this colorful printed deep sweetheart dress has beautiful movement and the full skirt makes it feel elegant. We are seeing more brides choose colored dresses for their bridal look and this vibrant flowing dress could really make a statement.

If prints or embroidery are too far away from your bridal vision, but you do want a colored wedding gown, this icy blue dress by Christian Siriano is simply mesmerizing. The high neckline is very on trend in bridal. Pair it with some sparkling crystal cluster earrings and a marquise cut crystal bracelet and you are ready to walk down the aisle.

The Gatsby Bride

With Gatsby and Art-Deco being a popular trend in bridal, we saw wedding-worthy looks perfect for this theme from both Naeem Khan and Oscar de la Renta. The sleek fit of the Naeem Kahn gown and the silver detailing is gorgeous for a Gatsby inspired wedding with out feeling too much like a costume. Add a pearl and crystal bracelet and deco inspired crystal earrings, and this look would be simply beautiful.

The wispy feathers flowing from the dress by Oscar de la Renta is a modern and elegant twist on the 1920s flapper dress. In the white tone and silver accents, it could be a breathtaking wedding day look.

The Blushing Bride

Bridal gowns in shades of pink and blush have been a popular trend in bridal, and we believe this trend will carry over into the next season. Remember, Kaleuy Cuoco recently wore a pink gown on her wedding day. Monique Lhuillier showcased a sequined blush tone peplum dress with a tulle overlay that was absolutely stunning. For an evening wedding, we can envision a bride glimmering under the lights as she glides across the dance floor.

Oscar de la Renta also had a blush pink dress during his Spring 2015 show. The sheer illusion sleeves and silver beading add a touch of glamour to this look, making it “bridal approved”.

The Gilded Bride

For a bridal gown that truly makes a daring statement, think metallic fabric and beading. Piper Perabo wed in a non-traditional silver gown with a gold veil, which turned out to be a bold and beautiful look. Taking inspiration from her, we spotted this golden gown by Lela Rose with sheer sleeves. The silhouette is perfect for a bridal look, with the fitted bodice and full skirt. The golden color palette has an air of romance and elegance.

If all over gold is too over-the-top for your bridal vision, Jenny Packham added metallic details to a sheer overlay on a fitted nude gown. This gown is sexy, daring, elegant and perfectly wedding-worthy.
