As Fall 2014 Ready-to-Wear fashion shows come to a close, we have found some great bridal inspiration.
While you probably won’t find potential bridal gowns in the ready-to wear fashion shows, they did give us great looks for bridal hair and make-up.
We noticed that quite a few designers went for a very minimal make-up look, with some details on the eyes and soft lips. While other designers sent their models down the runway with great pops of color on the eyelids, in shades perfect for the bride-to-be.
They did not disappoint with hair, from deep side parts and soft waves to fabulous buns and pinned back styles.
We’ve pulled some of the best hair and beauty looks from Fall 2014 that translate into bridal seamlessly.
Take a look at some of our favorites and get inspired for your bridal look.
A little Color on the lids…
For the bride who enjoys a splash of color, consider these soft lilac lids. The color is perfect for bridal, still soft and elegant but a bit daring at the same time. Paired with a nude lip, it could be the perfect wedding day make-up look.
Bringing in a little sparkle to your bridal look, dust your lids with some glitter eye shadow, it will make your face glimmer and light up. Gold may not be the right color for the bride, but imagine a silver or soft pink.
This make-up look adds that special hint of pink for the bride on her day. A glossy pink creme shadow make your eyes look very soft and romantic. Add a little blush that has some shimmer to your cheeks to give your skin a glowing dewy look.
Natural Beauty Accents…
This is a very natural, “no make-up” make-up look. Great for the girl who doesn’t typically wear make-up but still wants to look polished on her wedding day. A very muted aubergine colored shadow on the lids creates soft intensity around the eyes. Pair this color with a very thin line of eyeliner in a brown tone so it doesn’t appear to harsh. A soft pink lip completes this gorgeous make-up option for the bride.
This is the perfect look for the girl who loves a bright strong lip. A winged out eyeliner draws attention to the eyes, but natural tones of eye shadow, like soft creams and light browns, makes the eyes look soft and elegant. A bright red lipstick or a dusty rose tone would pair well with the quiet drama of the eyeliner.
Soft grays on the lids and iridescent white shadow added to the inner corner of the eye makes the eyes look bright and fresh. A little gray shadow dusted along the lower lash line brings a polished finish to the eyes. For a very clean look, stick with the soft pinks and natural tones for the lips like the models. But you could be bold and wear a deep red or fuschia lip.
Lashes can make a world of difference and your wedding day may be the perfect time to go big and bold. A taupe shadow and soft black liner across the upper lash line creates a very glamorous finish for the eyes. Add a tawny shade of lipstick with some gloss on top to round out this look.
The Perfect ‘Do…
Very soft and feminine waves can add an ethereal feel to your bridal look. Whether parted on the side or in the center, this textured look is very romantic. This hair style would look great with a crystal hair comb holding the soft waves tucked back behind your ear.
This “not so basic” pulled back look is such an intricate up-do for the bride. The pulled back sides and slight volume at the top creates a clean look from the front, but the updated chignon in the back adds an element of whimsy. This up-do would be so beautiful with a long flowing veil.
The make-up may be a bit intense and not very bridal, but the hair could be the perfect look for the day. A deep side part, with hair that sweeps across the face and is twisted and pinned back on one side creates such an elegant look. A crystal hair pin could be added to hold the hair that is pinned back, giving a little extra detail.
